Good travel with train. Only one problem between Barcelona and Lyon because of forest fire. Train is best :-)
I will never use your services again. Goodbye

It's a great train pass, good value and very flexible.
I was very satisfied and it was uncomplicated

Flexibility to make last minute changes
This is ridiculous! I bought a rail ticket which I will use next year. I made a stupid mistake and bought it from Headout. It cost me more and now I am being asked stupid questions.

This is our first time traveling via rail in Europe and we had a wonderful time. We only experienced one late train which is saying a lot. We wish transportation worked this well in the US as we would use it much more than driving.
The ease of the app makes booking and changing travel so quickly
We are a family of eight, and the Eurail Pass made our European trip incredibly smooth and budget-friendly. From the very first day, everything was easy to understand and use. Learning how to book seats and check train schedules took just a few minutes, and after that, traveling felt effortless. The pass gave us the flexibility to explore multiple cities without worrying about buying separate tickets for each journey. It also saved us a significant amount of money, which is especially important for a large family. Every train we took was comfortable, clean, and on time, making our travel days stress-free. Overall, the Eurail Pass turned what could have been a complicated trip into a relaxed and enjoyable adventure. Highly recommended for families and group travelers.
I mistakenly bought this rail pass with headout, but would have bought it directly with eurail. i also didn't like that you couldn't cancel it.

The price is reasonable compared to alternative ways of travel. 2nd class is very comfortable indeed, no real need to overpay for 1st class. But, one star less for unclear guide for seat reservations - I've booked seats via DBahn from Frankfurt to Paris and then checked whether I did everything corect to double check. But consultants in Frankfurt station said that I'd done smthing incorrect, and if I'm not mistaken, I booked the seats for residents whereas I'm not resident of EU. But there was no obvious way to book as non-resident. So spent 33 euros needlessly.
Everything worked well ! The schedules for the four trips were on time, the seats were very comfortable and the overall flexibility is great - much better and cheaper and faster and more comfortable than flying
It was great to have the ability to not worry about missing the next train and have so many options. It would be great if you could make more reservations for sleeper trains through the planner app and see how much you saved too!
The boarding process is always super easy and simple, and I love how many of the trains are switching to carbon neutral.
The system of booking and activating trains at stations, to have multiple options to choose from and the easyness to board trains.
Buying and scheduling was easy. It was used in Switzerland and Italy with no questions asked. It is the cheapest way to travel. For trains which needs reservation, a separate payment is needed but also not expensive and also easy to do. This is the best option for travellers to Switzerland and accross Europe that does not opt for rental cars.
Speed of the Global Pass purchase process and good reception at the offices of the stations in Madrid.

It's difficult to add a journey and get a pass. It's supposed to be straightforward and easy.

Emailed half dozen times, no code in email where i quoted it said it was. replies from staff but not solution or resolution
The pass is great, but the seat reservation service is very poor. I was only able to book the seats on the routes where booking is compulsory. I wasn't able to book the seats on the routes where it's optional.

I liked the one pass concept, but the app to make reservations and book seats were not clear. Getting an agent to assist me was impossible and did not happen The Robot kept asking ne fir my pass ID and last name after I entered it numerous times. I wast trying to place to pass on hold when I was not using it, but I could not located how to use the app to place the pass on hold. My experience so far is extremely disappointing
It was very helpful loved travelling with global euro rail pass
There was no way of reaching the team locally I struggled with doing the tickets and still had to pay out of pocket. It was not clear to me you needed additional reservations and had to pay for that. It was very frustrating and so decided next time would use the buses instead
All very good, very good experience

Consider your residency status, travel plans, and comfort preferences when selecting an Italy rail pass.
Your place of residence and the number of train rides you intend to take decide the selection between Interrail, Eurail, and Trenitalia Passes. Ensure you have a valid proof of residence when choosing any of these passes.
If you chose Eurail or Interrail, you must then choose between a Global Pass or a One-Country Pass.
*Trenitalia Passes are inherently one-country passes as they cater to domestic train journeys within Italy.
Make this choice easier by creating a rough travel plan
Your privacy requirements, travel style, and budget considerations will determine your class of travel.
Trenitalia is the primary rail operator in Italy. There are a few other private companies providing rail services like Italo. Trains can be broadly classified into high-speed, intercity, and regional trains. Italy is also connected by train to neighboring European countries.
With timeless architectural marvels, world-famous cuisine, and wines, a vibrant art scene and culture, and stylish and passionate people, Italy is a bucket list destination for many, and rightly so. Here's a list of must-visit Italian cities:
Eurail Passes, Interrail Passes, and Trenitalia Passes are valid on Italian trains.
Italian rail pass prices start from €157 but vary with the type of pass, validity, and inclusions.
Eurail/Interrail and Trenitalia Passes cover Trenitalia trains, which is the largest rail operator in Italy. Certain trains by private operators like Italo are not covered by these passes.
If you plan to take numerous train rides to explore Italy, rail passes are totally worth it. Train passes let you skip ticket queues and save time. They also come with cost benefits and access to even high-speed trains for swift inter-city travel.
Determining the best train pass for Italy will depend on your itinerary. If you wish for unlimited travel within Italy and other countries, Eurail Global Passes or Interrail Global Passes are ideal. If you want the flexibility of unlimited travel within Italy alone, you can choose a Eurail/Interrail Italy Pass. If you have a rough idea of the number of train journeys you will take, get a Trenitalia Pass.
Eurail or Interrail Pass allows unlimited travel in Italy within its validity period.
Senior citizens, children, and youth can enjoy discounted rates for Italian rail passes.
The difference lies in access to various train classes. Easy pass offers access to 2nd class on various trains; Comfort pass provides access to 1st, 2nd, Premium & Business class on Frecce, 1st & 2nd class on Intercity & EuroCity domestic trains & T2/double or T3 WL access, and couchettes on Intercity Night trains; and Executive pass offers access to all classes on Frecce, 1st clase on Intercity trains, all WL and couchette services on Intercity Night trains and 1st & 2nd class in EuroCity trains.
On regional trains, you can take any available seat with an Italy train pass. On high-speed trains, seats are assigned and you need to take your designated seat.
Though there are many beautiful train routes in Italy, the Cinque Terre rail journey is often considered one of the most scenic. The tracks travel along the coastline from La Spezia to Levanto and showcase UNESCO-listed charming seaside villages and pristine beaches.
Regional Trenitalia trains do not require reservations. High-speed trains like Frecciarossa, Frecciargento, Frecciabianca, Intercity, and Intercity Notte trains require seat reservations. Read more about Eurail seat reservations and Interrail seat reservations.
