Too much time to send me the tickets and only the day before the hour eu Headout told me that it was impossible to make a reservation for the day/hour i choosed. Only when i decides to ask for a refund, Headout imediatly send me tickets+reservation for the other hour i choosed. It was a stressfull procedure. The experiente in Bernina express was delighful!
We spent marvelous time travelling the Bernina Express. Landscapes are gorgeous! The small gift from the Bernina Express was additional unexpected surpise!
On the journey between Tirano and St. Moritz we were accompanied by a dog, of course we bought an extra ticket for him and during the ticket inspection I was informed that my dog was too big and could not be in the carriage with other people so I was asked to go to the corridor. After a few minutes the conductor suggested that we move to an almost empty carriage, which was very nice, but even this caused dissatisfaction of the whole team who often passed our place. The whole trip was an amazing experience, but we experienced less stress returning by a regular train in first class than by the Bernina Express.
I got the tickets I wanted and everything was so seamless!
Very good experience! - The tickets arrived immediately.

Very convenient application to use, loved the Bernina tran experience
The cost was very high, plus I had to pay extra when I was already on the train.

We have been not able to make the trip for medical reasons
We booked two tickets and assumed they were together. They were not. Very disappointed and assume some form of refund is in order. The process was poor as initially we were told we had first class tickets only to then be told we didn't and then second class tickets were booked and they were not together.
I sent you an email with the problems i encountered
I paid 2 times for same tickets
Dear team My flight was cancelled so I didn't come Hopefully see you soon 🙏
A once-in-a-lifetime experience. The climb up to the Bernina Pass is unforgettable. Booked early on Headout and everything was seamless.
Absolutely worth every penny. Beautiful snowy landscapes, friendly staff, and super comfortable seats. A must-do in Switzerland!

The ticket said red bernina express. But, it was regional train and i should change in St moritz.
Smooth booking through Headout. Ticket received instantly and boarding was super easy. Amazing journey across glaciers and little villages.
Loved every second of it! Open windows for perfect photos, stunning landscapes at every turn. Would recommend for every nature lover.
Everything ran like clockwork, as you'd expect in Switzerland. Headout made the ticketing process smooth and hassle-free too. Highly recommend!
Red Bernina Train was wonderful! Watching the landscape shift from green valleys to snowy peaks in just hours was unforgettable.
Booked the Red Bernina Train easily through Headout. Got my ticket instantly and everything was as promised. Scenery was breathtaking!
Beautiful ride but felt a little crowded during peak season. Still, views more than made up for it.
I expected a bit more commentary or information about what we were seeing, but otherwise a brilliant experience.
A perfect day trip! Easy boarding, clean train, and gorgeous views. Snow made everything extra magical.
The ride was comfortable and quiet. Saw glaciers, valleys, and beautiful little villages along the way. Very relaxing.
Great value! No need to book the Express if you just want the scenery — this train offers the same breathtaking views.
We booked through Headout and had no issues at all — just showed our mobile ticket at the station and boarded.
Smooth ride, amazing scenery. Bring a camera — every turn offers something more beautiful than the last.
Winter wonderland scenes made this one of the highlights of our Switzerland trip. Train staff was very helpful too.
Lovely trip, but it would be nice if they announced stops a bit earlier. A few times we were rushed getting off.
We rode in a car with opening windows — perfect for taking amazing pictures without the glass reflections. Highly recommend!
Beautiful journey! The regular Bernina train was just as impressive as the Express. Stunning views without the extra cost.

Incredible experience! I couldn't recommend it more. There was unexpected road works before we were due to depart but the tour team amended the itinerary to include everything in a different order. We wouldn't have known if they didn't say. The views are incredible, plenty of time everywhere.
The best of the guide Monica total delivery greetings super recommended.

The tour by the train was amazing
Thanks a lot for the support, was very kind
They are incredible people, specially the lady (I am sorry I fogot her name) she was so nice and speaks really good English. I should mention Antonio (our pilot :) ) a smart driver and a good person too.
Comfortable and safe coach ride by Constantino who is a very skillful driver. Our guide Amato was clear in his communication and is thoughtful and took care of every one of his tour group members. The scenery of the train ride was really stunning! Thank you!
Our ticketing experience was fine...we thought we were booking the Bernina train with the full sun windows and table seats...that was not the case. That was very disappointing and misleading in the advertising. We did enjoy the sights, although the heater next to our window seats were so hot that it was uncomfortable. We even used our coats to try to insulate our legs from the heat. Luckily, we were able to open the windows for some cool air. All in all, it was nice scenery, just not what we expected.
All was amazing thank you very much for the wonderful day!

What a AWESOME one fit pass - it made travelling in Switzerland affordable and allowed us to enjoy all of the boats/ferrys/cable cars/vaniculars/trams and incredible train routes........Switzland is an incredible country full of great transport options and this pass gave us the ability to use all of these. Even the bernina express tickets were included. You can't go wrong with this pass.
Through the window, the Swiss landscape was a treat for the eyes and heart. The view shifted from snow-capped peaks to lakes. Along the way, the wooden house in the greenish landscape was a pictoriq view.
Very easy to use , definitely recommend every one.
Very easy to use. Single purchase and travel stress free during the valid days.
The ease and transparency of purchase and use... Very good. I recommend it...

Considering train travel is not common for us in the US, everything was well marked, and the ability to flash our QR code was VERY convenient! Not sure if we will travel enough throughout Switzerland to have the math work, but the conscience is overwhelming! Eager to hit some museums on the pass as well.
On time and seamless experience At times the trains were crowded on Friday in particular

The opportunity to use it on boats, cable cars and metro travel was a real.plus
I could not sync with my SBB account. Which is what I thought this was. I never used it and asked for a refund
This pass was such a great investment! I would recommend it to anyone who likes to make spontaneous plans. It is a little pricier than the continuous pass, but it is worth the money. The only thing you should remember is that seat reservations for panoramic trains cost extra.
Like the name says, this pass really was super flexible and fit my loose itinerary perfectly! I could pick my travel days as and when I was up to travel and I never felt the pressure to travel fast. It was awesome to have unlimited access to trains and buses on the days I needed too.
I was nervous before purchasing it, but it is totally worth the buy. It was a relief to not plan everything about my trip in advance. And it worked out very well for me because I wanted to spend some extra time in Interlaken. The flexibility was perfect for my sometimes spontaneous style.
Easy with the app.
There are two types of trains running along the Albula and Bernina Lines: The Bernina Express (panoramic train) and the Bernina Red Train (regular non-panoramic train). Here are the key differences between the two trains.
Crossing the Alps in the Bernina Express is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The wide panoramic windows on this train offer an immersive experience, making you feel like you’re one with the landscape. You can also listen to the onboard audio guide as you ride past lush valleys, azure lakes, and high mountain passes. However, it might be harder to get tickets as these trains are in high demand and have limited availability and fewer departure times.
The Bernina Express panoramic train isn’t the only way you can cross the Swiss Alps. There are regional trains, called the Bernina Red Trains, that run on the same railway lines as the Bernina Express, offering you similar views at an increased frequency and affordable rates. If you can’t find tickets for the Bernina Express, worry not! You can always hop on a Red Train to see the alpine sights.
Both first and second class on the Bernina Express have air-conditioned coaches with sealed panoramic windows that reach the ceiling. Passengers can also access free Wi-Fi, power outlets, and the InfoT(r)ainment app which provides route information and live maps for the journey. The Bernina Express mini bar also offers snacks and beverages to passengers, provided you pay out of pocket.
However, there are a few differences between the two classes you should consider before booking tickets.
With only three seats in a row (two on one side of the aisle and one on the other), the first-class coaches offer plenty of aisle space and legroom for passengers to move about freely. If you’re looking for a luxurious experience with wide leather seats and a quieter atmosphere, first-class seats might be the ideal option for you. However, keep in mind that, on average, the Bernina Express only has about 58 seats in first class, so you will have fewer options to choose from.
Second-class coaches aboard the Bernina Express have four seats in a row (two on each side of the aisle), with 180 to 280 seats to select from on average. If you’re looking for an economical experience offering standard comfort and a vibrant atmosphere from which to enjoy the alpine scenery, then book your second-class tickets right away.
Similar to the Bernina Express panoramic trains, Bernina Red Trains also have different classes of seating with their own set of advantages. Depending on your budget, preferences for privacy & aesthetic tastes, you can select a first-class or second-class seat for your trip.
If you prefer to have more legroom and privacy on your journey, then first-class seats are the ideal option for you. You can admire the beauty of the Alps through huge windows while making yourself at home in a comfortable and roomy seat.
With compact seats and economical pricing, second-class seats on the local trains are the ideal option for budget travelers who welcome a sense of community to their sightseeing experience. Depending on the train you’re travelling on, you may find openable windows in some second-class carriages, which are a great option for photography enthusiasts looking to take glare-free pictures.
The Bernina Pass is the highest point on the Bernina Express route, connecting the Swiss Upper Engadin Valley with the Italian Val Poschiavo. Catch breathtaking views of Lago Bianco, snow-capped mountain tops, and other alpine flora along this stretch of the ride.
Since there are only a limited number of seats and a high demand for them, we recommend reserving your seats first. You can purchase your tickets much closer to your travel date.
If your children are under 6 years of age and don’t require their own seats, you don’t need to reserve seats for them or pay for their tickets. However, you will have to pay the full seat reservation charge if your children younger than 6 years of age require their own seat and if your children are aged between 6 and 15, although their ticket prices will be discounted.
Yes, both the Bernina Express train and bus are wheelchair accessible. Regional trains also have accessibility coaches for wheelchair users.
Yes, they are, provided you a pay a second-class half-fare fee for them. Please also note that larger pets will have to remain under your seat or on your lap and cannot crowd the aisles. If you’re traveling with a small pet, please ensure that they’re in carriers, baskets, or other animal-friendly containers.
It depends on the luggage. Light hand luggage carrying only essentials is all you will have space for on the train. Please do not bring multiple bags or suitcases onto the train.
No, the Bernina Express panoramic train starting from Chur does not make any official stops on its way to Tirano. If you’d like to pause your journey at St. Moritz before continuing to Tirano, consider making the journey in a regional Red train.
If your plans aren’t set in stone, try moving your travel dates around based on the availability of seat reservations. However, if you cannot alter your plans, your best bet would be to take the regional Red trains to see the sights along the Bernina Line.
The views along the Bernina Express route are gorgeous irrespective of the season. In spring and summer, you’ll get to see rolling green fields, melting glaciers, and glittering lakes. The landscape freezes over in the winter, and you get a glimpse of snow-capped mountain ranges and glaciers. During fall, the yellow-orange foliage of deciduous and coniferous trees makes for a breathtaking sight from the train.
